SOVEREIGN RESIDENCE

Located on the 35th floor of a residential tower on the upper east side of Manhattan, high above the busy New York streets, this sanctuary is surrounded by stunning views of the River, Bridges, and has an abundance of natural light pouring in. Originally owned by the legendary talent agent and noted manager of the Beatles & Rolling Stones, when the new owners purchased this residence they wanted to create a warm, tactile, elegant home; a place filled with creative energy, art and life.

As one arrives at the main entrance,, they are welcomed by a Tanavoli -Heech sculpture in yellow fiberglass. The entrance gallery continues the cream limestone floor of elevators and lobby, displaying a Hariri & Hariri Crystalline ceiling fixture and sculptural wall. Two organic pods by Wendell Castle- the father of β€œArt furniture-movement β€œ occupy the center of this entry gallery.

The Entrance Gallery leads the visitor into a spacious living room, which continues into a terrace, allowing one to float above the East River. The main living room doubles in space with the adjoining sitting room with a fireplace. The fireplace wall is freestanding in undulating limestone offering warmth, tactility and essence to the room.

The Dining Room is separated from the sitting room area via two translucent sliding doors that disappear into the stone fireplace wall. A long rectilinear walnut table stretches like a vessel over the river with a Swarovski crystal chandelier and recessed lights glittering above in the ceiling like stars. Dining in this room assimilates feeling of being aboard a glamorous modern ocean-liner.

A Long Art-Gallery exhibiting painting and sculpture connects the East side to the Kitchen/Family room and service areas on the west side of the residence. The Kitchen is connected to the family room via an eating counter/bar area in stone. The Family Room is a specious, sunny, comfortable, room where the whole family can spend their time together. On the East side of the residence and concealed behind wood panels and doors are the master bedroom, children bedrooms and the guest quarter.
